Final Ball Game

Basketball was such a fun experience for Kelsey!  We were sorry to see it end, but glad to have gotten to participate.
Kelsey had a great coach and a great team of girls who welcomed her even though she was new and inexperienced.
And from having never dribbled a ball before she progresed to this - making a steal!

Bringing in the ball
Ready to make a pass

Where Kelsey really grew was on defense - she was small, but a real obstacle!  The girl Kelse is guarding is trying pass the ball into the other half of the court.

Kelsey did not make it easy!

A super season and an all around great experience!

Kelsey Quote

"You know, 'Carnival' [the last show she was in] is full of songs that are so sweet until you hear that one part."

This is SO true about this musical!!!!

Practical Kelsey Quote

Caitlyn, before Kelsey's basketball game, after Kelsey got a hair cut, "Kelsey, you may want to pin your bangs back because although you are used to having bangs, you haven't had them cut like that and they might get in your face and irritate you."
Kelsey, "Probably I will just sweat and that will stick them down."

Euwwww.  But hahaha, too!  That's my girl!

Kelsey Quotes

While practicing her handstands....,
"If my shirt falls up just remember I'm not in public."
and

"Never laugh when you are upside down."
Can't argue with either of those :)!

Caitlyn's way with words

I asked Caitlyn to tell me about the world history she had been reading and I loved how she phrased it.  Two examples were these observations-
"There was a lot of fighting among the European nobility," and
"Then along came the Netherlands to create more trouble."

Kelsey Quote

Me, wanting to show what Caitlyn had been doing in math that day, "Bill, do you know how to balance equations?"
Bill, "No."
Kelsey, having heard this type of thing before, "Daddy, did you ever go to school and did you ever listen to the teacher?"
