Christmas Craft

A project Caitlyn took on one morning...  I was both thrilled and horrified when she and Kelsey did the whole thing together, without any help from me.  I mean I KNOW Caitlyn is a capable young lady and I want her to be, but independent gingerbread houses are pretty dramatic.  What happened to my babies?!?!?!

Anyway, these cute little houses were the result of her Christmas crafting :).

Christmas Time :)

One of our favorite traditions in this ballet loving family is going to The Nutcracker.  The girls love both dancing in it and watching it!  This year Caitlyn and Keegan had the opportunity to do both :).  This day we went to watch a performance and were excited to discover that an acquaintance was dancing the  part of Clara!  A great show and a great memory :).

Both Kelsey and Keegan enjoy little children, and they are good with them, too )!  At Carnival, they had a lot of fun playing with Carlie, the youngest member of the cast.

Miss Marilyn, who directs the shows, is awesome.  So is her husband Mr. Wess, who this time was a puppeteer.  They just celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary, btw :).  All three girls adore both of them.  Here is Keegan with Mr. Wess. 

 And one of Caitlyn, who didn't do too many amusing things backstage (except stretch in awful positions.)  Mostly she sat, knitting, watching the show (on the downstairs screen,) or reading.

So, now you know what it was like backstage :).  And sadly (or happily, depending on your perspective,) this is the next to last Carnival post!!!!!
